Summary

Compliance Associate or Senior Associate opportunity to work for an International Alternative Investments Private Equity firm with a diverse portfolio of partners, and a strong European & US footprint. Current experience of Luxembourg Compliance market is essential.


Position Overview:


Reporting directly to the Chief Compliance Officer, your contribution will play a crucial role within the compliance team, supporting all compliance-related activities in Luxembourg. Responsibilities include monitoring business processes, performing audits to identify potential compliance risks, and assisting in the implementation of new policies, systems, and controls to mitigate these risks.


Internal Controls:


  • Develop and uphold the compliance framework, processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Implement the compliance monitoring and internal control plan.
  • Perform regular audits to detect potential compliance and operational risks.
  • Maintain all necessary regulatory registers, including breaches and conflicts of interest.


Anti-Money Laundering:


  • Manage the onboarding process for new funds, investors, and investments, ensuring adherence to the firm’s KYC procedures.


Corporate KYC:


  • Prepare responses to KYC requests from third-party banks, advisors, etc.


Reporting:


  • Compile and submit regulatory reports.
  • Assist in gathering internal information in response to regulatory requests.


General Compliance:


  • Review marketing materials, presentations, and the website to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Train and educate employees about regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Stay informed about relevant laws and regulations.


Essential Experience:


  • Possesses an undergraduate degree or higher in finance, law, or a related field.
  • Authorised to live and work in Luxembourg.
  • Brings 3-5 years of experience in a compliance or regulatory role within a private equity or other financial services firm in Luxembourg.
  • Business level English, both written and spoken, with additional French language a preference.
  • Exceptionally organized and detail-focused.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical capabilities.
  • Capable of working independently and recognising when to escalate issues.
  • Communicates effectively, including with a business audience.
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment within a growing business.
  • Exhibits strong team collaboration skills, with a desire to work as part of a collaborative, global team.
  • Willing to take on a diverse range of tasks.
