PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To assist the Community Support Program (CSP) Coordinator in providing outreach, case management, psycho-social development, vocational rehabilitation, and residential resources to consumers in Bristol Bay diagnosed with a severe mental illness. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in the area of Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, Public Administration or other human service field required Two years’ experience working in the mental health field, preferably with severely mentally ill clients preferred. This employee must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span (e.g., pediatric/adult/geriatric) and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his/her age specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the assigned unit’s procedures.
