Duties Provide one-on-one support to clients, helping them navigate daily challenges and achieve their personal goals. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage clients in their recovery journey. Conduct assessments and develop individualized support plans based on clients' needs and preferences. Offer crisis intervention and management services during critical situations, ensuring client safety and well-being. Facilitate group sessions focused on behavioral health topics, including addiction counseling and mental health awareness. Collaborate with social workers, mental health counselors, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with organizational policies. Provide mentoring and guidance to clients, helping them build coping skills and resilience. Qualifications A background in social work, psychology, or a related field is preferred. Experience or training in motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, and behavioral health is highly desirable. Strong understanding of mental health counseling principles and addiction counseling practices. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
