Will you be the new cornerstone of our community? At Microlab, we're looking for an enthusiastic and versatile Community Manager to strengthen our team in Rotterdam.


About Us Microlab is a vibrant city within a city, designed to inspire creativity and connection in the heart of Rotterdam. Our coworking spaces offer flexible, comfortable, and affordable workplaces combined with inspiring communal areas such as shared lounges and a bar. Together with Microstad, we form a community where over 3,000 members and 400 companies collaborate daily. With locations at Strijp-S in Eindhoven, central Rotterdam, and a brand-new venue in Eindhoven City Centre (Microstad), we offer more than just workplaces.


We organize events, social gatherings, and support initiatives that enhance the beauty and social cohesion of our cities.


What Will You Do? As a Community Manager, you are the driving force behind our community and workspace management. Your energy ensures new members feel immediately at home and receive the support they need.


Your Responsibilities

  • Ad hoc Support: Provide immediate assistance to members with questions or issues, such as lending items (keys, ladders, etc.), resolving access card issues, printing, or wifi problems.
  • Facility Maintenance: Maintain a vigilant eye on the premises and report any issues to ensure an optimal working environment.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Ensure a tidy and organized workspace by cleaning up, updating posters, and arranging furniture.
  • Daily Face-to-Face Interaction: Build strong relationships through daily personal contact with members, creating an open and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Community Events: Organize and participate in member socials and community events to strengthen connections and promote an engaged community.
  • Promotional Activities: Lead creative promotional initiatives, such as distributing surprises (donuts, fruit, flyers, etc.) and the Maker Reporter to enhance member interaction.
  • Coffee Moment Check-ins: Schedule informal check-ins during coffee moments to better understand members' needs and wishes.
  • Connecting Members: Identify opportunities to connect members and encourage collaboration within the community.
  • Active Presence: Remain visible and available during community events and socials to ensure members feel supported and involved.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure necessary supplies like coffee, tea, and other facilities are always stocked to enhance the member experience.


Who Are We Looking For? The ideal candidate:

  • Has completed hospitality training or relevant experience (MBO4/HBO level).
  • Brings 1-3 years of hospitality experience (preferably in a hotel or business center).
  • Is hands-on, flexible, and enjoys collaboration.
  • Dutch or English on a professional level.
  • Is available at least 32 hours per week.
