AUSTIN OAKS HOSPITAL is currently hiring a Community Liaison in our Marketing-Business Development Department. The Community Liaison directly serves as the liaison between the facility, the community, and referring agencies. The Community Liaison is directly responsible for creating demand for the facility’s services through the effective application of ethical marketing principles and sales methods. In collaboration with the Director of Business Development and Business Development Team, the Community Liaison presents a positive and professional public image of the facility within the community. The Community Liaison is responsible for the implementing the facility’s strategic sales plan, enhancing the facility’s brand/image, effectively managing their assigned territory and accounts, and works to achieve departmental and facility business development goals. The Community Liaison must be able to demonstrate tact, resourcefulness, patience and dedication in a fast-paced environment. AUSTIN OAKS HOSPITAL provides acute inpatient psychiatric services for Adults, Adolescents, and Children. Responsibilities
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in a behavioral health area, marketing, business administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: Prior marketing and/or sales experience within a behavioral healthcare setting preferred. Three years minimum documented experience in referral development, account management, sales growth, and physician relationships preferred. A valid Driver’s License is required.
Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Word. Excellent verbal and written skills. Ability to work independently and set priorities. Ability to develop creative marketing ideas. Travel to referral sources and other healthcare institutions required.
Physical Requirements: Irregular and long hours may be required occasionally. Exposure to patients and progress conditions. Extensive travel. Lifting and loading twenty (20) pound boxes containing brochures and/or literature and fifty (50) pound display boards, etc.
