Title: Community Engagement Coordinator
Location: Compton, CA
Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 9AM - 6PM
Salary: $55,000-$65,000 (DOE)
Reports to: Manager, Community Engagement
Job Type: Full-Time, On-site

- Builds stronger neighborhoods and supports low to moderate income families throughout LA County.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and execute community-based events, workshops, and trainings.
- Conduct needs assessments and community research.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Community Affairs, Marketing, and Development teams.
- Manage event logistics, outreach plans, and post-event impact.
- Monitor budgets and staffing (counselors, volunteers).
- Participate in special projects and assist other departments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's in Political Science, Public Policy, Communications or related field (preferred)
- Experience: 2+ years in a nonprofit environment (preferred)
- Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Traits: Passion for community development and ability to work respectfully with diverse groups.
- Valid CA Driver's License
- Willingness to work evenings/weekends
- Consent to background check (credit, criminal, driving, employment, education)
