Communications Project Manager

Jones Networking is recruiting for a Communications Project Manager to join a thriving association management company in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and creative communications professional with 2–5 years of experience managing multi-channel digital content, email campaigns, and WordPress websites—skilled in Canva, HTML, and client-focused project coordination. Communications Project Manager Responsibilities:
Electronic Communications:
- Design and distribute email campaigns using Constant Contact, Real Magnet,
MemberClicks, and similar email database systems
- Produce digital communications (e.g., newsletters, news flashes, meeting notices) using HTML and templates
- Create PowerPoint presentations and event signage/print materials
- Develop registration forms, job postings, and general communications collateral
- Maintain and refresh client branding across communication materials
Website & Social Media Management:
- Maintain and update WordPress websites, including layout edits and content refreshes
- Manage social media communications tailored to a business audience (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter), including writing, scheduling, and publishing posts
- Contribute to and format client blogs as needed
Project & Department Coordination:
- Proofread and edit digital and print content with close attention to detail
- Organize project documentation and maintain internal project management tools
- Coordinate with teammates and director to manage deadlines and shift project
responsibilities as needed
- Strategize with clients and teams on communications goals and target audiences
Team & Client Support:
- Provide excellent customer service through timely, professional communication
- Collaborate with client teams and internal departments to ensure successful project outcomes
- Participate in department planning, prioritization, and creative development
- Support Communications Director in day-to-day operations and special projects
Special Projects & Additional Duties:
- Implement & manage special projects as assigned.
- Perform other responsibilities as needed to support the organization’s mission & goals.
Communications Project Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, graphic design, marketing, or related field preferred
- 2–5 years’ experience in a similar communications or creative services role
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client or internal projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Canva (primary design platform); familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver) is a plus
- Familiarity with email marketing tools (e.g., Constant Contact, Real Magnet,
MemberClicks)
- WordPress experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong HTML knowledge preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Exceptional proofreading and editing skills; pride in delivering a high-quality, final product
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- Organized, efficient, and detail-oriented
- Collaborative and self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and in a team setting
- Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
