WhatsApp is looking for an experienced Communications Manager to join our small and agile team. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about private communications and the future of technology, including helping people to learn how to use AI to be creative and productive on WhatsApp. It's also someone who's creative and curious about the changing media environment and social conversations around how people connect with friends and family across the globe, and can bring a proven track record of launching consumer products on a global scale through the press, social influencers and opinion-makers. We are looking for someone who has carried out high-profile campaigns and brings established relationships with media and influencers in the U.S., but also has a very global mindset. This is a hands-on role with significant day-to-day responsibilities working with leaders across WhatsApp.8+ years of experience in communications. Experience developing media campaigns for targeted audiences. Experience with global product launches and consulting with product managers. Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, policy, legal, and other communications teams. Experience managing crises communications and developing communications strategies. Experience creating messaging materials, and working collaboratively with cross-functional groups including Legal, Public Policy, Marketing, and Research. Experience working in technology and using WhatsApp. Experience developing global communications campaigns. Proven track record of successful experimentation with influencer/social-first campaigns and launches. Experience working with a creative and public relations agency or communications consultants. Experience working on product launches outside the U.S. Experience creating product narratives aligned to regional moments around the globe.
