Commissioning Project Manager- Data Centers

Job Description:

Our client, a leading national general contractor, is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager to join their Mission Critical Business Unit. This role will oversee commissioning for a cutting-edge 420+ megawatt hyperscale data center, ensuring proper installation, functionality, and quality of critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage commissioning processes (Levels 1-5), schedules, and contractor coordination.
• Lead project meetings and provide progress updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure quality, schedule adherence, and compliance with project requirements.
• Review designs, specifications, and commissioning documentation.
• Develop and execute start-up, test scripts, and integrated systems testing (IST).
• Oversee closeout, including O&M documentation and training.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and coordinate resolutions.
• Conduct Level 3 and Level 4 testing for electrical, HVAC, and control systems.
• Support third-party testing of EPMS and BMS equipment.
• Manage subcontractor relationships and identify value engineering opportunities.
• Mentor and develop project team members.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 5+ years of construction project management, mechanical, or electrical experience.
• 3+ years of HVAC, fire protection, control systems, and/or electrical testing experience.
• Data center commissioning experience with hyperscale clients.
• Proven leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and commissioning processes.
• OSHA 10 or 30 preferred.

Technology Requirements:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Procore, JDE, Bluebeam, and scheduling software preferred.
