We are currently seeking Full-time Position for a Industrial or Commerical Carperter Apprentice. This role will suit someone that has general labour/carpentry experience and is able to problem solve and do manual work safely in a challenging environment, they must be comfortable working at heights and within confined spaces. Hourly Rate of $18 - $28/ hour including a competitive benefits package, vacation pay and opportunities for advancement. General task that maybe completed at heights or in confined spaces such as sewers, underground tunnels, wastewater basins, storm drains, mechanical suites, trenches, excavations, vessels and involves: · Concrete forming/framing, chipping, pouring, coring and leveling · Rough carpentry - building overhead protection, supports, bulkheads and general assembly · Site preparation/ground disturbance Requirements: · Strong work ethic. · Physically fit and capable of full range of motion and lifting. · Ability/comfort working at heights and in confined spaces with limited lighting. · Ability to take direction from supervisor. · Ability to work with and monitor other sub-contractors/trades. · Specific safety training – CSTS, H2S, Fall Protection, Fit Testing, Confined Space Entry and Monitoring, and Ground Disturbance. · Valid driver's license. · Must be able to pass pre employment Drug and Alcohol Testing and Criminal Record Check. · Must be able to prove up to date on vaccinations or willing to get them for: hepatitis A and B; tetanus; diphtheria; acellular pertussis · Carpenter apprentice preferred Types of Work locations you can anticipate: Commercial Buildings Edmonton Region, Strom Drains, Tunnels, Excavations or Trenches.
