Job Title: Commercial Project Manager – Construction/EPC (Part-Time)

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Project Manager with 10-15+ years of construction experience in an EPC/construction firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tendering, commercial and project budget management, and a thorough understanding of cost control, variation orders and claims, and subcontracting management. The role requires working on-site for 1 day per week, with some flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage tendering processes and commercial aspects of construction projects.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring cost control and minimizing cost overruns.
• Handle variation orders and claims management efficiently.
• Lead and optimize subletting and subcontracting management to improve cost-effectiveness.
• Engage in negotiations with subcontractors for effective contract management.
• Work closely with project teams to ensure adherence to financial and contractual obligations.
• Provide strategic commercial advice to stakeholders and management teams.

Requirements:

• 10-15+ years of experience in a construction/EPC firm, specializing in commercial/project budget management.
• Prior experience working as a Quantity Surveyor (QS), Commercial Manager, Commercial Director, or Project Manager.
• Strong expertise in subletting and subcontract management on construction sites.
• Ability to work on-site in Hong Kong for 1 day per week, with flexibility.
• Proficiency in English (mandatory); Cantonese and Mandarin are a plus.
• Based in Hong Kong

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with large-scale construction projects in Hong Kong.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple commercial aspects of projects effectively.
