Job Summary

The Commercial Estimator-Project Manager will be responsible for estimating, planning, and managing commercial electrical projects from inception to completion. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, project management skills, and client-focused service. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical estimating and project management within the commercial sector and be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Estimating:
    • Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial electrical projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
    • Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope and requirements.
    • Work with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing and ensure competitive bids.
    • Assist in preparing bid proposals and submitting estimates for review.
    • Create accurate invoices for completed work.
    • Request and invoice change orders.


  • Project Management:
    • Oversee the execution of commercial electrical projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
    • Develop and maintain project schedules, track progress, and adjust plans as needed.
    • Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure all project requirements are met.
    • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
    • Resolve any project-related issues promptly and effectively.
    • Supervise electricians to ensure compliance with company policies, employee handbook guidelines, and all safety standards, while promoting a culture of accountability and safety excellence.


  • Client Relations:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
    • Provide regular project updates and communicate changes or adjustments as needed.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and financial records.
    • Prepare project status reports, budget tracking, and final closeout documentation.
