Estimator
Position Overview
The Estimator will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs and providing detailed estimates for commercial painting projects. This role involves collaboration with project managers and clients to ensure that all aspects of the project are considered, leading to successful bid submissions and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed estimates for commercial painting projects based on project plans and specifications
- Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to develop accurate project budgets
- Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements and specifications
- Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate estimates
- Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to gather pricing information and assess project feasibility
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather additional information and clarify project scope
- Maintain organized documentation of estimates, proposals, and correspondence with clients
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an estimator in the commercial painting industry
- Strong knowledge of commercial painting processes and materials
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
