The Making Corporation is proud to partner with a leading household brand in the search for a dynamic Commercial Manager to drive profitable sales growth, shape commercial strategy, and lead a high-performing team across major retail and growth channels.

With rich heritage tracing back to 1956, our client has been providing Australian families with premium products for over 60 years and with that comes a rare opportunity to own and execute the commercial vision across national grocery, mass merchants, eCommerce and emerging markets.

You’ll be at the forefront of negotiations with Coles, Woolworths, Aldi, Metcash (IGA), Costco, and Amazon - delivering performance through strategic customer partnerships and seamless internal collaboration.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading the commercial strategy for your channel, aligned with the business’ ambitious 3 year growth plan.
• Managing and developing a team of five direct reports to deliver on revenue and net profit targets.
• Driving customer planning, range reviews, promotions, forecasting, and trade management.
• Building strong external relationships while influencing product development, marketing, and supply.
• Owning key initiatives across channel expansion, brand revitalisation, value-segment wins, and online growth.

What we’re looking for:

• A proven Commercial Manager or senior National Account Manager with strong FMCG credentials.
• Must have experience managing big box retailers such Coles or Woolworths at a national level.
• Experience with the following is highly desirable: Aldi, Metcash (IGA), and Costco.
• A strong operator who understands tenders, trade portals, forecasting, and category strategy.
• A collaborative leader who thrives in cross-functional environments and leads with energy and accountability.
