Commercial Business Analyst
Your challenge
- We are seeking a commercially savvy and results-driven Analyst to lead our operational analyses while acting as a strategic partner to key customers and internal stakeholders. This role is critical in driving both operational efficiency and commercial performance by aligning business insights with customer needs, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering continuous improvement across the value chain.
- You will play a leading role in the development and execution of the "Control Tower" strategy—anchored in Control, Planning, and Execution—and will actively oversee the "Command Center" during peak seasons to ensure optimal daily performance. In parallel, the Manager will focus on developing long-term relationships with key accounts, transforming operational insights into commercial value and helping to shape service solutions that drive customer success and business growth.
- You are a strategic thinker, BI has no secrets for you and with strong business insights, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to translate data into action.
- You are a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance operational rigor with a customer-first mindset.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Build and engage with the customer to become the key resource to understand the specific needs and to develop a partnership relationship;
- Oversee the analysis of current business performance/KPI’s, identify areas for improvement and take immediate action in case of deviations.
- Monitor of performance metrics towards operational excellence.
- Coordinate with the "Command Center" and continuous improvement teams, overseeing the monitoring process and addressing issues as they arise and implement strategies for optimizing operational efficiency.
- Direct the creation of comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to management and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, ensuring effective communication throughout the organization.
- Identify potential risks and provide proactive solutions to mitigate them.
Your qualities
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years in customer facing / operational analyses role;
- Experience in Logistics & Transportation is an asset;
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques;
- Very strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills;
- Pro-Active and positive attitude;
- Ability to work successfully under pressure and within given deadlines / excellent time management skills;
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills;
- Highly analytical, process driven, problem solving and detail oriented;
- Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus;
- Excellent oral and written communication in Dutch and English;
- Living in the Netherlands is a must.
