Summary

Job Title: Credit and Payments Customer Service Representative

Location: Irwindale, CA 91702

Schedule: Hybrid (In-office Mondays & Tuesdays)

Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Duration: 18 Months

Pay Rate: $20.00 – $24.22 per hour


Seeking a Credit and Payments Customer Service Representative to support electronic payment operations. The ideal candidate will assist with payment exceptions, customer inquiries, and daily reconciliations to ensure accurate financial processing.


Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve payment exceptions across various electronic payment channels, including:
  • Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
  • Authorized Payment Agencies
  • Direct Payments
  • Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
  • Quick Checks
  • Credit/Debit Card payments
  • Respond to customer inquiries directly and through system-generated service orders.
  • Research and analyze payment data using internal and external systems to identify and direct payments appropriately.
  • Collaborate with banks and vendors to return unidentified payments to the originator.
  • Perform daily reconciliation between SAP-ISU and the General Ledger using bank deposit information to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Issue replacement refunds for lost, stolen, or uncashed customer payments.
  • Coordinate the processing of fraud-related documentation with internal departments.


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of customer service experience, with a focus on resolving inquiries and payment-related issues.

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Familiarity with electronic payment processing and/or banking operations.
