Summary

Highly regarded Law Firm is seeking a Collections Coordinator to join their Finance Operations team. This role is crucial in ensuring timely and accurate collections of outstanding accounts receivables. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented professional who brings a positive, customer-service-focused attitude to interactions with attorneys, clients, and internal teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Billing Department, Account Management Team, and Attorneys to manage and reduce outstanding receivables.
  • Monitor and follow up on assigned client accounts to ensure timely payment.
  • Maintain accurate records of collection activities and client communications.
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding invoices and payment status in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Identify trends or recurring issues in account delinquencies and escalate as needed.
  • Support process improvements and initiatives within the collections workflow.


Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in collections, billing, or accounts receivable (preferably in a legal or professional services environment).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with billing/accounting software.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in a law firm or similar professional services setting.
  • Familiarity with eBilling systems or legal billing platforms.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
