Summary

The Coding Specialist works under the direct supervision of the Billing Supervisor to accurately and efficiently perform billing, information processing, and client services responsibilities for Northern Plains Laboratory and other contracted organizations. 

Qualifications

·        Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification

·        Minimum of 1 year experience in the healthcare environment

·        Positive attitude and good customer service skills

The preferred candidate will have:

·        Knowledge of Clinical Laboratory and Pathology terminology

·        Prior experience in processing insurance claims and denials, working with insurance companies on aging claims, and collecting past due accounts.

This position requires regular on-site work attendance. Day shift with no weekends or holidays. Full benefits package as well as advancement opportunities available.
