The educator reviews coding performance, understands day-to-day practice operations that involve CPT or ICD coding questions and workflow issues, and leads related staff and provider education for coding of both in and outpatient services. The qualified individual will work to achieve overall revenue cycle expectations that comply with organizational goals and compliance recommendations, as well as utilize project and people management skills, clinical practice knowledge, and an understanding of documentation and coding requirements to support improvement in practice processes and compliance. This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Missions of Blessing Health Systems. ICARE standards must be demonstrated. Adherence to Code of Conduct and other policies is required JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education/Training/Experience: REQUIRED: High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum of 5+ years International Classification of Disease and CPT coding experience required. Basic computer skills Knowledge of Medical Terminology, anatomy, disease processes, pharmacology, surgical procedures and abbreviations. PREFERRED: Bachelor#s or Associate#s degree in HIM or related field is preferred.
