The City of Columbia Heights is now hiring for Code Enforcement Inspector

The Code Enforcement Inspector is responsible for ensuring compliance with city ordinances related to property maintenance, zoning, and public health. This position conducts inspections, investigates complaints, and educates residents, businesses, and property owners on code requirements. The officer works collaboratively with other city departments and agencies to maintain community standards and improve the quality of life in Columbia Heights.

Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Valid Minnesota driver's license. One or more years of experience in code enforcement, inspections, property maintenance, or a related field. Experience in customer service, conflict resolution, or working with the public. Ability to physically navigate various inspection sites, including climbing stairs, walking on uneven surfaces, and working in varying weather conditions.
