Description

Slabe Machine is looking for Swiss Machine Operators for our 1st and 2nd shifts. 2nd shift runs Monday through Thursday 4:30 pm to 2:30 am! Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off! 1st shift runs Monday through Friday 6:45 am to 3:15 pm.

Job shop experience desired. Exotic alloy experience preferred. Must operate Citizen Swiss, read prints & use hand-held measuring devices. Must be able to change tools, make offsets, complete required paperwork, work in a team environment, and work without direct supervision to complete required duties. The ability to set up is helpful, not required. Very clean & safe conditions. All tools provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle


• Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed)


• Feed raw materials or parts to semi-automated machines


• Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools


• Test operation of machines periodically


• Fix issues that might occur during the shift


• Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws


• Keep records of approved and defective units or final products


• Maintain activity logs

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

• Proven experience as a Swiss Machine operator (Citizen Swiss)


• Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, etc.)


• Understanding and interpreting GD&T Code


• Understanding of production procedures


• Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g., constant use of protective gear)


• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals


• Analytical skills


• Attention to detail


• Teamwork and communication skills


• Physical stamina and strength


• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus
