Brief Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Swiss Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in programming and operating Star CNC Swiss machines, utilizing PartMaker software. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a proven ability to develop efficient and accurate programs for complex parts, ensuring high-quality production and minimizing downtime.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize CNC programs for Star Swiss-type screw machines using PartMaker CAM software.
  • Interpret/create engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD (Solidworks) models to create accurate and efficient machining processes.
  • Select and optimize cutting tools, speeds, and feeds to maximize productivity and tool life.
  • Set up and operate Star Swiss machines, including tool changes, offsets, and program adjustments.
  • Create Tool-by-Tool analysis for all cutting tools throughout machining processes
  • Perform first-article inspections and ensure parts meet quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, making necessary program adjustments.
  • Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and quality control personnel to improve processes and resolve problems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of programs, tooling, and setup procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience programming and operating CNC Swiss machines, specifically Star machines.
  • Proficiency in PartMaker CAM software is required.
  • Multi-channel programming experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of G-code programming and machine control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments and quality control procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
