Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to fabricate metallic and non-metallic parts.
Responsibilities
-Operate Vertical CNC Machining Center to manufacture parts within tight tolerances per print
-Use Gibbs Cam Software to program CNC machines
-Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion
-Load and unload equipment and materials safely
-Conduct routine preventive maintenance on the machines
-Will need to keep area clean and clutter free for safety
-Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials
-Responsible for inspecting parts to specifications and making adjustments, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications.
-Any other duties as assigned by management
Experience
-Experience as a VMC machine operator
-Knowledge of VMC set ups
-Knowledge of speeds and feeds for HSS and carbide tooling
-Knowledge of crane rigging for large parts safety
- This position can be very physical as you are working with bigger parts
-Understanding of lathes, mills, grinders, and/or CNC operation
-General understanding of metal characteristics and grades
-General mechanical aptitude and familiarity with machine shop practices.
-Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to use precision tools to take accurate measurements.
-Capable of mathematical calculations to determine dimensions as well as making minor changes
-Highly motivated with the ability to follow precise instructions
-Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings
-Ability to work individually, maintaining efficiency and effectiveness
-High School diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training or apprenticeship preferred

Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
