Position Overview

B&T USA is seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer with a strong focus on rapid prototyping of precision parts. The ideal candidate will excel in developing efficient machining strategies to produce prototype components quickly and accurately. A background with extensive CNC programming experience is required.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Manage engineering projects from start to finish, including design, development, testing, and production launch.
• Develop and maintain detailed 3D models and 2D technical drawings using SolidWorks.
• Apply DFM principles to ensure designs are optimized for efficient manufacturing and assembly.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure project success.
• Lead design reviews, provide technical guidance, and implement feedback to improve product performance and reliability.
• Conduct engineering analysis, including tolerance stack-ups, FEA, and material selection.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design and manufacturing issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including specifications, reports, and timelines.
  
  
  

Required Education, Experience And Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification or coursework in CNC programming or machining preferred.
• Strong proficiency in CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code).
• Extensive experience in CNC machining, with a focus on prototyping and short-run production.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and 3D CAD models.
• Proven problem-solving skills and ability to adapt quickly to new challenges.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  
  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software, especially ESPRIT (strongly preferred but not required).
• Experience with a wide range of materials and complex geometries.
• Knowledge of advanced machining techniques and tooling optimization.
• Familiarity with rapid prototyping processes and lean manufacturing principles.
  
  
  

Work Environment:

• Work performed in an office and manufacturing environment.
• Exposed to machine shop manufacturing elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, etc.
