CNC Programmer Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of CNC machinery and programming, with the ability to create precise and efficient programs for various machining operations. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, mechanical knowledge, and problem-solving skills to ensure high-quality production outcomes.
Responsibilities
Develop and optimize CNC programs for machining operations using CAD/CAM software.
Interpret and analyze blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining specifications.
Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring proper tooling and fixtures are in place.
Conduct regular maintenance checks on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers to verify part dimensions.
Maintain accurate documentation of programs, setups, and production runs.
Requirements
Proficiency in CAD/CAM programming software, with experience in SolidWorks preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex mechanical systems.
Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpretation for manufacturing processes.
Experience in machining processes, including electrical discharge machining (EDM).
Solid math skills for calculations related to machining dimensions and tolerances.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
