Job Summary: Machines product parts on the CNC router according to drawings and specifications provided, to assure timely manufacturing of product to customer specification.
Duties
- Machines parts according to drawings and specifications provided.
- Loads tools and tool holders.
- Completes daily preventative maintenance on the router.
- Assures that the work area and aisles around the router are kept clean and free of debris.
- Assists in training of team members.
- Assures that parts being moved from the router are labeled correctly.
- Other duties which may be assigned on an as-required basis.
Responsibilities
- Communicates effectively to internal customers, verbally.
- Follows procedures in company handbook and other documents.
- Demonstrates a professional attitude when approaching work assignments.
- Displays a sense of urgency towards completing assigned tasks.
- Assists in developing solutions to problems.
- Maintains a safe working environment, making sure everyone around the router will not get in a situation to be injured.
- Assures the cut quality is acceptable.
- Maintains outstanding attendance.
Specifications
- Ability to read and interpret complex drawings.
- Possesses some computer skills and is able to learn new skills as needed.
- Able to manage multiple priorities.
- Has knowledge of materials and processes related the companies manufactured product.
- Must be detailed oriented.
- Ability to read and interpret specifications.
- Must be able to read a dial caliper or equivalent and measure in thousandths (.xxx) of an inch.
- Must be able to lift 75-100 lbs. continually.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years related industrial experience.
Job Relationships
- Reports directly to Manufacturing Supervisor.
- Works closely with Team Leaders, Craftsmen, and CNC Router Programmer.
