Summary

Summary: The CNC Machinist/Programmer position contributes to the production of machined details. By operating and performing basic set ups of CNC 3 Axis machines, with the ability to identify X, Y, Z and 0 coordinates. Responsible for operating manual machine tools to cut, drill, shape, and finish quality products with some supervision. NO experience with CNC Machining in a manufacturing work environment required.

Essential Functions

  • The Machinist, CNC reports directly to the area Supervisor.
  • Performs basic machining functions to produce parts.
  • Monitors the machine to ensure proper program performance.
  • Completes shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets.
  • Makes off sets and adjustments to machines with moderate supervision.
  • Advocates for the health and safety of self, co-workers, customers, and the community.

Education & Experience

  • Machining Trade School (Preferred)
  • Some experience or exposure to CNC programming
  • Some experience with MASTERCAM programming software (Preferred)
  • 1+ Years of Experience Operating Machining Equipment in a Manufacturing Environment (Preferred)

Working Conditions

  • May be exposed to moving mechanical equipment, airborne particles, and occasionally chemical fumes.
  • The noise level within the manufacturing floor may be faint to moderate, and occasionally loud.
  • Eyewear is mandatory while in the manufacturing area.
  • Safety shoes such as hard soled shoes are to be worn in the manufacturing area.

  • Must be able to handle/adjust/inspect/position various items and equipment - Constantly
