CNC Mastercam Machinist/Production Assistant

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

·    Manufacture acrylic bases for mineral specimens using MasterCam, a G-code posting software, and a CNC Milling machine (preferably Haas). Preferred experience with scanning software and a laser scanner. 3 axis surface machining required with 4 axis (XYZ+rotary) experience a bonus.

·    Responsible for the manufacturing process including creating programs, posting code to the CNC machine, loading machine and cutting parts.

·    Process work orders

·    Maximize efficient use of machines while ensuring completion of orders by client specific deadlines

·    Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices

·    Prepare shipments

·    Prep materials sent to clients for making an impression to send in with their order

·    Track and stock acrylic inventory

·    Maintenance of machines

Performance Expectations & Qualifications:

·    Experience with CNC milling machines

·    Experience with CAD systems

·    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

·    High school diploma or equivalent education

·    Highly organized and detail oriented

·    Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office

·    Hands on work style

·    Mechanically inclined

·    Good command of the English language
