Ironwood Electronics is seeking a CNC Machinist/Programmer (Afternoon Shift)
Duties: The Primary duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to:
- Setup and operation of CNC machine
- Program & Edit CNC Programs using GibbsCam (will train the right person)
- Perform in-process inspection of machined products
- Complete and maintain records
- Perform preventive maintenance on machines & equipment
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1 or more years experience as a CNC operator, or machine trade schooling
- Good communication skills
- A desire to be much more than an operator
- Possess a positive attitude!
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two year degree in machine trade
- 3+ years setup experience of CNC mills (Haas & Fanuc controls).
- Experience with GibbsCAM or other CAM software
- Experience in 4th axis machining
- Lead, or supervisory experience
- Swiss machining experience would be a plus, but not required
Ideal person will have CNC mill experience and GibbsCam programming experience with multi axis parts. Lead, or supervisory experience would be a plus.
In addition, Swiss setup & operator experience would also be a plus, though this is a mill position.
Note:
Our machinists carry their parts from start to finish including doing their own programming using GibbsCam! This provides increased job satisfaction and variety.
We have a clean, modern air conditioned shop and a friendly work environment. We machine mostly aluminum and plastic on the mills and most of our parts are less than 2” square, so the work is light and clean. Typical job qty’s are 1-50.
