Summary

We are seeking Multispindle and CNC Machinists to set-up and operates computer numerical control lathes, indexes, and machining centers to cut, shape, or form metal work pieces to specification in a medium-high volume production facility.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Set-up and operate CNC Index Multispindle, Mori Cell, Okuma, or Hone machines.
  • Monitors and removes metal chips from tools and equipment and disposes of them in the proper container.
  • Monitors machine condition and reports unusual noises or occurrences to supervisor or shift lead.
  • Monitors cutting conditions and alerts supervisor or lead if tools are not cutting properly.
  • Performs housekeeping tasks (6S) to maintain a clean and orderly work area, including but not limited to wiping the surfaces of the machine, lubricating, sweeping, and mopping.

Qualifications

  • 1-5 years minimum experience on set-up and operation of a CNC lathe with lot quantities that exceed 100+ units.
  • Ability to read machining CNC programs and have a basic understanding of "M" and "G" codes.
  • Understanding of basic tabletop gages, including Micrometers, Calipers, Sunnen Gages, and Bore Micrometers.
  • Prior experience with Index Multispindle, Index Lathes, or "Screw" Machines preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, and procedures.

Shift Availability

Friday-Sunday, 5am-5:30pm (work 36 hours, get paid for 40)

Monday-Wednesday, 5am-5:30pm, Thursday, 5am-9am

Monday-Wednesday, 5pm-5:30am, Thursday, 5pm-9pm

All shifts starting after 12:00pm will receive an additional $1.00/hour.
