Summary

Position Title: Mechanical Technician (CNC Machinist/Programmer)

Length of Contract: Initially 12 months with a possibility of Extension (On W2 only)

Location: Onsite @Seattle & Redmond WA



Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Program parts using templated CAM programs in Fusion 360.

Load and unload materials, check machine status, and launch jobs at regular Intervals.

Remove finished parts from machines, clean and post-process as required.

Make updates in task management platform to keep requesters informed of job status.

Maintain equipment and ensure all necessary tools and materials are on hand to ensure continuous production

Communicate with customers to understand their needs and tailor approaches to meet those needs


Certain project that team is working on / what products are they supporting:

Material Preparation and Setup: Select and prepare materials from stock shelves, load programs onto CNC machines, and initiate production runs.

Automated Pallet Operations: Utilize automated pallets to optimize overnight production, ensuring efficient and continuous manufacturing processes.

Quality Control and Feedback: Verify part quality and accuracy, providing feedback to improve manufacturing processes and ensure high-quality output.


About the Team:

As part of this team, you'll have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of

products, from headsets and glasses to optical components for final use products.


Must-Have Skills:

Digital Design Expertise: Proficiency in a range of digital design tools, including CAD/CAM software such as Fusion 360, with the ability to adapt to new systems and efficiently program parts using templated CAM programs.

Client-Focused Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working directly with clients to understand their

needs, provide tailored solutions, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced production environment.

Hands-on Maker Mindset: A passion for hands-on problem-solving and making things, with a background in activities such as art, tinkering, crafts,

or other related pursuits that demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, and a willingness to experiment and learn.


Nice-to-Have Skills:

CNC Machining Experience: Hands-on experience with CNC machining equipment, either hobby- or commercial-grade, with a focus on prototyping environments.

CAD/CAM Software Expertise: Experience using CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks or Mastercam, in addition to Fusion 360.

Project Management: Familiarity with task management platforms and the ability to make updates to keep requesters apprised of job status.


Degrees/Certifications Preferred:

Bachelors or Associates degree
