Job Description An employer in Kearny Mesa, San Diego, CA, is seeking a CNC Machinist to join their team onsite. This position, also known as an Engineering Tech, offers the opportunity to work for one of the top E-Vehicle companies globally, within an R&D engineering and manufacturing environment. The role entails significant collaboration with engineering, creative freedom, and the autonomy to work independently. Responsibilities: - Equipment: HAAS VF 255 vertical CNC machine (CNC milling) - Programs: Mastercam, SolidWorks - Core Responsibilities: - Collaborate with Engineers to understand specifications of sketches/drafts of prototypes and accurately quote lead times for machining parts - Program the CNC machine using Mastercam (20%) - Perform machining tasks (60%) and manage 5 to 7 jobs concurrently - Produce prototypes and one-off parts, up to 100 pieces max, often modifying existing parts for high volume - Operate the HAAS VF 255 vertical CNC machine for CNC milling - Act as the sole CNC Machinist, responsible for all aspects from ordering raw materials to working with Engineers and operating the machine Shift: - Full onsite work Monday - Friday in Kearny Mesa - 8-hour shifts with potential for overtime - Typically 8 am - 5 pm with flexibility Join this employer and be part of a team driving innovation in the electric vehicle industry.
