We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our Operations team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual and CNC mills and lathes, drills, programming, and measuring tools. It is a low volume and high mix environment.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Produce machined parts by entering CNC programs, setting up tools, fixturing, determining tool offsets and part verification checks. Parts will be produced according to drawings and specifications using manual and CNC lathes, milling machines, drills, and other specialized machine tools.
- Measure, examine, and test completed parts to check for defects and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Utilize metrology equipment (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.) to verify machine accuracy, job setups, and finished part measurements.
- Ensure orders are completed in a timely manner and that deadlines are met according to demands set forth by our production schedule.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and completed daily PM’s to ensure cleanliness, accuracy, and reliability.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, identifying and implementing ways to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
Your Profile
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in CNC machining using mills and lathes, setup, and operation.
- Familiar with G-Code and experience with CAD and / or CAM.
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings, GD&T, schematics, and manuals.
- Fluent verbal and written communication in English.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and react quickly to changing priorities. A sense of urgency is a must.
