Job Description

CNC Machinist

• Set-up CNC milling and lathe machines.
• Set-up and operate various manual machines when necessary.
• Maintain machines, fixtures, tooling, tools, and any other equipment utilized in the machining department.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with safety procedures, rules and regulations.
• When required, work with supervisor, coworkers and engineers to complete a task and or solve a problem.
• Experience with Hass and Fanuc controls
• Measure, inspect and trouble shoot finished work dimensions to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Completes routine and priority tasks defined by management to ensure on time deliveries.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  
  

In addition to the essential functions and duties listed above, this position is also responsible for:

• Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Adhering to company policies, procedures and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments.
  
  

Physical Activities: Work may be active, could stand or sit for long durations and / or perform repetitious work at times. Exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally. While performing the duties, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.

Qualifications

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years experience in similar position preffered.
  
  

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• CNC certification or CNC Trade School a major plus.
  
  

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong sense of ownership and work ethic, written and verbal communication skills
• Strong ability to work well in a group atmosphere and comply with high quality standards
• Strong ability to shift from one task to another to address changing production priorities
  
  

This is a first shift position and overtime may be required.
