Summary

Overview

Using CNC machines and related tooling, set up and program to fabricate parts and components to predetermined specifications and dimensions.

Responsibilities

  • Review example parts, drawings & instructions to ensure familiarity with parts requirements.
  • Measure, calculate, interpolate & extrapolate dimensions to ensure part conformity.
  • Select appropriate machines & tooling and plan the required sequence of machining operations to ensure part quality and maximum productivity.
  • Ensure program selection is appropriate for the part in question.
  • Create new or modify existing programs to ensure part conformity and maximum productivity.
  • Set up machine and machine parts consistent with best practices and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate accounting of inventory tag status, location and quantity.
  • Manages assigned work orders to ensure timely completion.
  • Rework and/or otherwise disposition non-confirming inventory.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Able to:
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and manuals.
  • Lift 50 lbs. unaided.
  • Walk & stand for approximately 8 hours per day in a conditioned shop environment.
  • Function at a high level of productivity without regular oversight.
  • 5 years of applicable experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
