An exciting position is currently available for a (CNC) Machine Shop Programmer in our Manufacturing Department. This position will provide efficient and accurate programs for all CNC machining equipment to produce components efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities:

• CNC programming of lathes and mills using Gibbs Cam to produce accurate and efficient programs.
• Collaborate with other departments for machine and tooling selection.
• Work with Manufacturing Engineers to determine manufacturability.
• Provide instruction and technical assistance as necessary.
• Assist machinists as needed in program validation, tool selection, measuring, part fixturing, and program editing.
• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve efficiency by utilizing the latest technology.
• Collaborate with other team members to improve overall quality and efficiency of the department.
• Maintain programming schedule to meet production needs.
• Ensure all safety policies are followed at all times.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• 3+ years CNC programming experience with Master Cam, Gibbs Cam or similar programming tools.
• Strong background as a skilled machinist.
• Comprehensive knowledge of machining, tools, materials, methods and standard practices of the machining trade.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently & cooperate with other employees.
• Understand the hazards and safety precautions of the machining trade.
  
  
  

Physical Requirements:

• Work is performed in a Manufacturing environment, regularly exposed and working with mechanical moving parts.
• Regularly required to reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another.
• Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25 lbs.
  
  
  

Schedule and Hours: 40 hours per week with potential for overtime, with weekend work as required.
