Summary: The CNC Machine Operator will operate a variety of production equipment and tooling. Responsibilities: Set-up and operate CNC machines to perform 3, 4, and 5 axis machining operations. Lift work piece on table manually or with other material handling equipment and position and secure workpiece on machine table or in holding device. Select and install tooling, place tools in automatic-tool-changer (if required) in sequence specified on process sheet. Record production inspection results in data system. Observe numerical displays on control panel and compare with data on process sheet to verify dimensional adjustments, feed rates and speed of machining cuts. Record and inspect key dimensions for conformance to specifications using a micrometer and precision dial gauges. Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or GED equivalent Minimum of 1 years’ experience in EDM/CNC or tooling production or equivalent Basic mechanical skills needed and proficient shop math skills Basic computer skills / MS Word and Excel Desired Characteristics: Demonstrates positive attitude, strong work ethic, and self-motivation Experience in manufacturing preferred Strong team player and flexible willingness to move to different areas Job Type: Contract Pay: From $24.00 per hour Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Night shift Overnight shift Weekend availability Experience: CNC: 1 year (Required) Machine Operation: 1 year (Preferred) Precision measuring instruments: 1 year (Preferred) Tooling: 1 year (Preferred) Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred) Shift availability: Night Shift (Preferred) Overnight Shift (Preferred) Work Location: In person
