Responsibilities Assign projects to fabricators in shop. Monitor volume and workloads for each fabricator during shift and reassign work as necessary. Provide training for processes and systems of fabrication when necessary. Liaison with the office manager, owner, and installers to resolve issues and to ensure that accurate and timely information is being shared. Hold morning meetings for the preparation of workday Manage work flow which includes Up-keep of shop working area and keep things organized. Skills and Abilities Must be able to adjust to varying scheduling timelines, while being professional with all co-workers during execution. Must have the ability to think quickly, often solving problems as they arise. Being able to think critically with project analysis and situational awareness. Responsible for the quality of the work produced out of the shop. Quality Control experience necessary. Must demonstrate good leadership skills and sound decision-making abilities Experience High School Diploma or GED Bilingual Preferred (Spanish) Extensive machinery experience, including the robot saw, CNC, bridge saw, and edge machine Experience fabrication/polishing and laminating/mitering edges Organized, thorough and detail-oriented Good interpersonal skills and verbal communication Mathematical Skills: Ability to understand dimensions and measurements Ability to multitask, handling numerous assignments simultaneously with quick transitions Ability to work well in a team environment. Time management skills, ability to prioritize work to adapt to a fast-paced environment and perform well under stress Ability to perform personal physical labor necessary with no assistance, unless needed. The position requires the following physical activities on a regular basis: Stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, handling, and repetitive motions.
