ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Down loads programs from the Desktop Computer to the Machine Control, makes minor manual adjustments to programs as required, sets-up and operate the CNC Turret Lathe or the CNC Vertical Machining Center, performing various operations on parts and materials. Work from programs, blueprints, work orders, written and verbal instructions. Obtain proper data for each job; responsible for loading and unloading materials, as well as setting up, aligning, changing, and adjusting tooling,. Fabricate first piece, check print, and measure to maintain proper tolerance and accurate dimensions. Change or sharpen tooling as necessary. Deburr parts as prescribed. Report any malfunctions to supervision. Exercise proper care in the use of tools, equipment, and materials. Complete all required records, reports, and production documentation. Detect and report faulty equipment, improper operations, and unusual conditions to supervision. Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition. Exercise proper care in the use of tools, equipment, and materials. Complete required records, reports, and production documentation. Detect and report faulty equipment, improper operations, and unusual conditions to supervision. Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition. Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
