Works from and in accordance with specifications and design criteria including but not limited to verbal instructions, drawings, and blueprints; performs standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, speeds, and feeds of machining.
Edit program setting as related to tool feeds and speeds when necessary
Adjust tool travel distance
Uses a wide variety of precision measuring instruments; maintains accurate dimensional tolerances based upon drawings.
Monitor machine operations
Reworks and calibrates production parts or assemblies and machine tooling as required; checks each component for accuracy.
Replace dull tools as necessary
Set and sharpen tools as necessary
Requirements
Experienced with set-up and program Hitachi Seiki Horiz Machine
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
Ability to set auxiliary machines (hand mills, Milwaukee Vertical and 6 to 8 spindle drill presses)
Experience with various types of gauging
Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance.
Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions.
Ability to perform the physical labor necessary.
$16.62 - $20.62 per hour
