At this client, you won’t just make parts. The pieces and parts that you make are for the highly scrutinized Aerospace, Defense, Robotics, and Oil and Gas Industries and will be subject to rigorous specifications determined by the client(s). Because there are tight specifications, the work will make runs of a few dozen parts rather than a few thousand. We’ve calculated there are more than 500 unique set-ups for our clients.

Responsible for the operation, programming of the CMM, the analysis and interpretation of blueprints, manuals and other materials to determine specifications, to inspect and test procedures, and to communicate technical information.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years manufacturing inspection experience
• 2 or more years of experience operating Zeiss CMM’s
• 2 or more years of experience writing programs for CMM’s

Responsibilities

• Perform all programming of the CMM machines using ZEISS software from Model Based Definition and 2D drawing.
• Operate CMM machines and maintain CMM work instructions for the set-up and inspection of parts.
• Skilled in use of inspection tools, including calipers, micrometers, surface gauges, height gages
• Analyze and interpret blueprints, models, evaluation sheets, manuals and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methods.
• Collect and analyze inspection data and make computations as necessary to determine inspection results and perform first article inspections.
• Determines product suitability for shipment for company and customer
• Ability to read and understand complex mechanical drawings and 3D Models
