High-Level Responsibilities

• Design cloud infrastructure that supports the software product scalability and performance requirements.
• Choose appropriate cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) based on project needs (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Define and implement cloud deployment models (public, private, hybrid, or multi-cloud).
• Design architectures that ensure uptime, disaster recovery, and resilience.
• Implement automated pipelines for continuous integration and deployment (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
• Use Docker and Kubernetes for efficient deployment and scaling of applications.
• Implement identity and access management (IAM), firewalls, encryption, and other security measures.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards like GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2.
• Monitor and address security threats, conduct audits, and apply patches.
• Monitor cloud resources to optimize performance and cost-efficiency.
• Optimize databases, server instances, and load balancing for high efficiency.
• Manage cloud storage, backups, and disaster recovery (S3, Blob Storage, Google Cloud Storage).
• Work closely with software engineers to optimize applications for cloud environments.
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving infrastructure or deployment issues.
• Collaborate with DevOps, security, and data teams to align cloud strategies.
• Define and implement automated backup solutions for data and application recovery.
• Ensure disaster recovery mechanisms for business continuity in case of outages.
• Monitor and control cloud expenditures to optimize spending.
• Maintain documentation of cloud architecture, configurations, and processes.

Requirements

Experience

1. 4-6 years of experience
2. Cloud and On premise Infrastructure Design: Proven experience designing scalable and high-performance cloud infrastructures
3. CI/CD Pipelines: Implementation of automated CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
4. Cloud Security: Implementation of encryption and security measures.
5. Cloud Monitoring & Optimization: Experience in monitoring cloud resources for performance and cost optimization.
6. Database & Storage Management: Experience in optimizing databases, load balancing, and managing cloud storage/backups (S3, Blob Storage, Google Cloud Storage).
7. DevOps Collaboration: Working closely with software engineers, DevOps, security, and data teams.
8. Cost Management: Monitoring and controlling cloud expenditures.
9. Documentation: Maintaining cloud architecture, configuration, and process documentation.
