Description
We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Cloud System Administrator in a location. This role is at the intersection of computer services and support, with a focus on managing, strategizing, and executing technology within various departments.
Responsibilities
- Strategize, manage and execute technology within the respective departments
- Implement and maintain Active Directory, Azure & Office 365 on a daily basis
- Manage Azure resources and tools such as Azure Data Factory and Databricks
- Handle Azure API management with API Management and Azure Container Apps hosting API’s
- Oversee load balancing with Azure Application Gateway and CDN web routing via Azure Front Door
- Administer Azure Role Management for all resources, including custom role creations and auditing of permissions
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code tooling, with a preference for Terraform and BICEP
- Apply a strong understanding of cloud system architecture and application design
- Build and troubleshoot Azure DevOps Pipelines, including YAML, Service Connections, and Code Review
- Maintain a strong understanding of both traditional and cloud networking concepts
- Assist with determining whether an issue is code or infrastructure related by reading and understanding programming languages
- Utilize excellent PowerShell skills
- Participate in security audits and remediation exercises, and review and remediate Defender for Cloud findings
- Support the execution of new design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of systems and related technology
- Ensure all computer systems are patched on a timely basis
- Facilitate the smooth deployment of new applications
- Plan for necessary hardware or software upgrades to support system growth
- Stay up to date on security risks and ensure corporate security
- Recommend and implement improvements
- Resolve all reported issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Azure Active Directory is required for managing and securing cloud-based applications and servers.
- Familiarity with Azure API Management is essential for creating, publishing, maintaining, and securing APIs in a scalable environment.
- Knowledge of Azure Data Factory is necessary for implementing and managing data integration services in the cloud.
- Experience with Azure Databricks is needed for big data analytics and artificial intelligence workloads.
- Proficiency in Office 365 is required for efficient collaboration and communication within the team.
- Expertise in Active Directory is essential for managing network users and resources.
