We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Solution Architect to join our team on a hybrid schedule (2 days onsite in Austin, Texas) for a long-term contract. This role is exclusively for local candidates with a strong background in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving cloud adoption, guiding stakeholders on technical solutions, and implementing best practices across cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, and GCP. Key responsibilities include designing and maintaining cloud architecture aligned with business goals, creating scalable and secure cloud infrastructure, assessing current infrastructure for migration suitability, developing and executing migration strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, implementing security measures, monitoring and optimizing cloud system performance, collaborating with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions, providing guidance on cloud technologies, staying updated on the latest industry trends, identifying opportunities for innovation, and guiding AI/ML projects across major cloud platforms while developing reference architectures and training materials.
Required
Minimum Qualifications:
10+ years of experience architecting enterprise application solutions across on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
10+ years of experience architecting solutions in one or more cloud platforms: GCP, Azure, AWS .
8+ years of experience developing cloud-native application architectures across leading cloud platforms.
8+ years of experience architecting solutions utilizing service models like IaaS, PaaS, SaaS .
8+ years of experience in all phases of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Deep Learning solutions using Azure, AWS, or Google technologies.
Preferred
Strong understanding of virtual networks, VPNs, DNS, load balancers, and firewalls .
Knowledge of cloud security frameworks , encryption, IAM, and compliance standards like GDPR and HIPAA.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines , containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C# , and scripting for automation.
Expertise in API design, development, and management (RESTful and SOAP).
Experience with microservices, serverless architectures , and cloud-native application development.
Ability to analyze and optimize cloud costs while maintaining performance and reliability.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate cloud strategies and solutions to stakeholders.
Experience with monitoring and analyzing system performance for optimal cloud operations.
Hands-on experience with Azure Machine Learning, Azure Cognitive Services , or AWS technologies (SageMaker, Redshift, EC2, etc.), or Google technologies like Vertex AI Platform .
Cloud certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect) is highly preferred.
