I am currently sourcing candidates for a Cloud Solution Architect who has 10+ years as a Solutions Architect and has multi-cloud platform experience in addition to infrastructure as code tools. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire role that will work hybrid and or onsite 5 days a week in Washington, DC. This position requires candidates to be public trust eligible.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
• 10+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect or in a similar role
• Strong expertise in enterprise IT architecture, systems integration, and software development
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, including services like EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Azure App Service, and GCP Compute Engine
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
• Strong risk management skills, including the ability to identify, evaluate, and mitigate security risks within IT systems and networks
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders, including software engineers, management, clients, and vendors
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Relevant certifications (e.g., DevOps, TOGAF, Azure Certified Solutions Architect, Red Hat Certified Architect) are a plus
