Our client, a large financial enterprise, is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer (AWS or GCP) to join their team. As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will be part of the Strategy and Cloud Governance Team supporting the Cloud Security space. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud security best practices, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Cloud Security Engineer (AWS or GCP)

Location: Sunrise, FL; New York City; Atlanta, GA (primary); Phoenix, AZ (primary); Salt Lake City, UT; Silicon Valley, CA

Pay Range: $60-65/hr W2

What’s the Job?

• Responsible for Service Certification within the AWS and GCP environments.
  
• Analyzing AWS and GCP service offerings to determine and implement security best practices.
  
• Ensuring security resources are deployed and configured effectively from an SCP (Service Control Policy) standpoint within AWS/GCP.
  
• Understanding and working with IAM (Identity and Access Management) or similar policies and the shared responsibility model in the cloud.
  
• Collaborating with other Cloud Engineers and Cloud Architects to ensure comprehensive security coverage across AWS/GCP.

  • Strong understanding of how security works and how security resources are deployed and configured in AWS/GCP.
    
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform.
    
  • Familiarity with policy-as-code frameworks, ideally Terraform Sentinel for policy checks.
    
  • Coding experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
    
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating policy checks within them.
