We are seeking a highly capable and detail-oriented Cloud Security Engineer (AWS) to join our client's security team. This role is focused on securing our AWS cloud environment through robust architecture design, engineering secure solutions, and managing ongoing cloud security operations. You will collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams to design and implement secure cloud platforms, monitor for threats and vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with industry standards. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation in AWS security who enjoys both building and operating secure systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement secure cloud architectures aligned with security best practices and business requirements
• Define and enforce AWS security controls
• Develop and maintain security standards, guidelines, and reference architectures for AWS environments
• Perform hands-on security engineering work, including configuration of security services and automation of controls
• Manage and optimize cloud security tools
• Conduct security reviews of cloud infrastructure and services to identify risks and recommend mitigations
• Monitor AWS environments for misconfigurations, policy violations, and unusual activity
• Lead or support the response to cloud-related security incidents, coordinating investigation and remediation efforts
• Work closely with solution architects and infrastructure teams to ensure security is embedded in cloud design
• Perform regular threat modeling and risk assessments on critical cloud workloads

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• Minimally 7 years of relevant experience with recent hands-on experience in cloud security with a focus on AWS
• AWS Certified Security - Specialty or equivalent AWS certifications
