This is a Cloud Platform Engineer opportunity with a true industry leader in the UK; they deliver a real-time and latency sensitive platform to their multi-million strong customer base.

In terms of tech landscape, this is a high-performance environment where you'd be focusing on the infrastructure for highly available and high throughput systems in a GCP-focused stack, utilising various DevOps tooling which will include GKE, Terraform, and Helm.

You do NOT need to have prior exposure to GCP-based environments, they are happy to consider engineers that are coming from a more AWS-focused stack. The key experience they will be looking for is your exposure to Kubernetes - you'll be working with GKE extensively (EKS/AKS experience also great, better yet, bare metal!), alongside related technologies and workflows such as service mesh / ingress.

The role is hybrid based in Central Manchester - 2x days a weeks in the office.
