In this position… As a Cloud Network Developer your primary responsibility will be ensuring that automated and consumable solutions delivered via IaC constructs are able to support a stable, secure, resilient, and agile GCP network environment. This will involve partnering with your Cloud Network Delivery peer group in operational support, technical design, and driving best-of-breed technical standards into the environment in an evolving fashion. The Enterprise Platform Engineering and Operations Team is seeking a Cloud Network Developer to join the Cloud Network Delivery Team. Ford is on an exciting journey to evolve our public cloud environments where connectivity is foundational to that experience. This role requires a deep understanding of and experience with delivering Infrastructure as Code solutions with a focus on network constructs. You'll achieve this by leveraging your existing practical knowledge of programming languages to support intent based declarative outcomes in partnership with our Cloud Network Engineering team to support repeatable and easy to consume design patterns based on engineering requirements. What you'll do… * Design and support modular IaC solutions with a focus on consumable and repeatable architectures in the GCP network space. * Interface with multiple members of the Cloud Network Delivery team including engineering and product management to support ongoing network offerings and project-based deliverables. * Participate in an on-call rotation and act as an escalation point as needed to support production environment needs. * Deliver projects through common automation and state-based constructs such as Terraform and Cloud Build. * Clearly articulate and communicate how technical components can support various environments within our cloud platform to peer groups, partner teams, and internal stakeholders. * Interface with vendor teams to shape and adopt future product offerings within the GCP network space with a focus on automation opportunities to drive out "click-ops."
