We are currently seeking a Cloud Engineer (Azure) for the finance data & analytics area.

- Contract duration: December 2025 (with a possible extension)

- Workload: 100%

- Location: Zurich (4 days on-site, 1 days WFH)

Key Responsibilities

• Enabling the staging environment for comprehensive business testing
• Managing the own SaaS third-party Tagetik application (upgrades, monitoring, etc.)
• Management of the Kubernetes cluster
• Managing our Azure subscription (e.g. increasing security, managing alerts)
• Collaborate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment, security, and high availability in the Cloud
• Working closely with our development teams to understand their needs and code infrastructure deployments in Terraform
• Keeping documentation concise, accurate and up-to-date
• Research new technologies and prototype new ideas
• Contributing to a continual improvement in everything we do e.g. increasing automation, better observability, removal of technical debt
• Third level support during critical periods

Essential Skills & Experience

• A degree in applied science, engineering or computer science (or equivalent applied professional experience)
• A good general understanding of networking, compute and security concepts relevant to the public cloud
• Experience engineering solutions with Microsoft Azure
• Experience with at least one RDBMS (SQL)
• Experience writing Terraform (preferable a Terraform Associate)
• Good skills with a shell/scripting language e.g. PowerShell or Bash
• Good working knowledge of git
• Being fluent in Python is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• A curious mindset and the ability to break complex problems into steppingstones
• Strong interest in/motivation to learn about insurance/reinsurance
